Doncaster Dartes Swimming Club, based in South Yorkshire, is on the lookout for an energetic, dedicated, and visionary Assistant Head Coach to help shape our County (ages 8-12) and Regional (ages 10-16) Performance Squads. Renowned as one of Yorkshire’s top four squads, we collaborate closely with the city’s swimming clubs to provide high-performance training and expert coaching. Your Role: Key Responsibilities
- Coaching Leadership: Lead and deliver training sessions planned by the Head Coach, while providing constructive feedback to swimmers and supporting their skill development.
- Performance Development: Collaborate with the Head Coach to identify and maximise the potential of our athletes, aligning with Swim England’s physical literacy guidelines (County: “Learning to Train”; Regional: “Training to Train”).
- Competition Support: Attend galas and open meets in line with the club’s competition schedule, inspiring swimmers to perform at their best.
- Mentorship: Assist in developing our assistant coaches, helping to build a strong coaching team that works cohesively.
- Administrative Excellence: Manage attendance tracking, communicate with parents/guardians, and help with day-to-day administrative tasks.
- Team Spirit: Step in to cover sessions across the performance programme or club squads when needed, ensuring seamless delivery of training.
- Representation: Act as an ambassador for the club, fostering positive relationships with regional, county, and local clubs.
