About the role: As a Senior Manager in the wider Tax Transformation and Technology team you will play a pivotal role in advancing our tax solutions to meet the complex needs of our clients. Increasing complexity of business arrangements, new legislative requirements such as e-invoicing and making tax digital are creating significant challenges for organisations. In order to meet these challenges, organisations are looking to improve their tax processes through a combination of new technology, AI and finance system change. As a result, there is significant opportunity to support businesses with these changes. It is an exciting time to join the team which combines skills from across tax with a clear objective: to work with clients to improve the delivery of tax through technology, process improvement and compliance. We work collaboratively with deep technical specialists across a broad spectrum of areas to deliver to our clients.
This role requires:
- Knowledge and experience across various taxes, tax functions and opportunities for transformation including the application of technology.
- A strategic vision, technical expertise, and the ability to lead and develop a team of specialists.
You will be responsible for overseeing engagements, building client relationships, and driving innovation in tax technology.
What your days will look like:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their tax needs, their business strategy and provide innovative technology-driven solutions.
- Maintain relevant tax knowledge, remain up to date with technical developments including changes in tax law and legislation, as well as technological developments such that you can advise clients and internal stakeholders, including delivering sessions at client / knowledge events.
- Oversee large-scale tax transformation projects from inception through to delivery, ensuring alignment with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and guide a team of tax professionals covering both technology and advisory services, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
This role is for you if:
- You have experience in tax, technology and transformation. For example, one or more of the following: ERP configuration for tax, tax determination engines, tax operating model, tax automation and process improvement.
- You have in-depth knowledge of tax processes, methodologies, and technology solutions.
- You have demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, with a focus on understanding client needs and delivering value-added solutions.
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and technology to drive decision-making.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex tax technology concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
