We are looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Officer who ideally has experience in and understanding of the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) and Light Touch Regime as this post will be supporting Social Care and Public Health procurement activity. Whilst we are looking for this experience, we don’t want to put off any experienced public procurement officers who may have significant experience of procurement but not in these areas as well, as we know these skills can be transferable.

You will be joining a supportive and highly skilled team who you will work closely with. As you will know, we have the new Procurement Act 2023 and the Procurement Regulations 2024 which only went live on 24th February 2025, so we will be working together to understand the flexibilities and innovation these can offer the Council. Social Value is also a priority for the Council and this post will be pivotal in supporting the Council to evidence how we are achieving this through our procurement activity.

Please refer to the job profile for full details of the post. If you wish to discuss anything, please contact Kay Wilkinson, Procurement Team Leader.
