Senior Quality Engineer

Role- Senior Quality Engineer  Salary- £45,000 – £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Type- Permanent Location- Reading My client is a specialist manufacturer within Aerospace & Defence. They are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join their team in Reading on a permanent basis. The Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: Proven experience in a quality engineering role within a manufacturing environment Relevant qualifications in Engineering or Quality Management (BEng, HND, CQI, etc.) Experience in Defence / Space / Aerospace or similar industries would also be beneficial In-depth knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 and problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis) Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and continuous improvement methodologies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Attention to detail and a proactive approach to addressing quality issues  The Quality Engineer role will involve: Conducting quality audits and ensuring compliance with industry standards Investigating and resolving quality issues and non-conformances Collaborating with production teams to improve quality processes and reduce defects Performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions Managing the quality management system (QMS) and maintaining accurate documentation Providing training and guidance to staff on quality standards and procedures Liaising with customers and suppliers to address quality-related concerns Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality  If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible
