My client is a specialist manufacturer within Aerospace & Defence. They are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join their team in Reading on a permanent basis.
The Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Proven experience in a quality engineering role within a manufacturing environment
- Relevant qualifications in Engineering or Quality Management (BEng, HND, CQI, etc.)
- Experience in Defence / Space / Aerospace or similar industries would also be beneficial
- In-depth knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 and problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis)
- Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to addressing quality issues
The Quality Engineer role will involve:
- Conducting quality audits and ensuring compliance with industry standards
- Investigating and resolving quality issues and non-conformances
- Collaborating with production teams to improve quality processes and reduce defects
- Performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions
