Your new company is a leading manufacturer of fibre-based packaging solutions seeking an experienced Estimator to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment, delivering accurate cost estimates for tenders, projects, and enquiries.
Your new role as an Estimator will involve:
- Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates.
- Analysing job specifications and recommending cost-effective production options.
- Calculating material costs, labour, and time required for each project.
- Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to ensure the best pricing.
- Maintaining accurate records of estimates and project details.
- Collaborating closely with sales and production teams to align estimates with business needs.
- Providing competitive pricing solutions that support business growth.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 5 years of experience in estimating within the packaging industry (ideally cartons).
- A strong understanding of packaging materials, processes, and market dynamics.
- To be self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
