The Team: Times Podcasts is responsible for designing and producing podcasts that match the breadth, depth and dynamism of The Times and The Sunday Times. The team is expanding to test new podcast ideas and to help produce a podcast portfolio that covers politics to sport. We are looking for experienced journalists to work on great new podcasts, particularly those with knowledge and experience in defence, foreign affairs and diplomacy.
Your role: As Senior Podcast Producer, you will be the driving force behind Times Podcasts. You will help lead a team of talented producers, working collaboratively with presenters, and journalists across The Times and Sunday Times to create compelling and innovative podcasts that align with the Times brand. This is both a hands-on and creative role, requiring a balance of creativity, leadership, and exceptional operational expertise in producing, scripting and editing.
Day to day you will:
- Produce new original podcast offerings, both as stand alone episodes and serialized storytelling.
- Devise and produce βalways onβ regular weekly or daily podcasts covering a wide variety of issues.
- Work on podcast productions working creatively within budgets and staffing levels.
