The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.
Reporting directly to the QA Team Leader, the Quality Assurance will hold a key role within the production department. Auditing internal processes and ensuring that procedures and quality procedures are being followed and adhered to. Reporting and escalating any issues and failings within the internal escalation procedure.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Completion and maintenance of QA paperwork, in a timely manner.
- Complete inspections of products, collating information and reporting back to relevant departments.
- Ensure that food safety, GMP and QA checks are being carried out as specified within work instructions, HACCP and process control documents.
- Carry out hourly checks and audits on the production lines.
- Carry out daily calibration of temperature probes and weighing scales.
- Conduct monthly glass and plastic audits.
- Support the production team by providing technical support e.g. CCP and traceability.
- To operate in a safe working manner and support the business on continuous improvement relating to health, safety and the environment.
- To carry out any day to day quality duties as requested by the QA Team Leader or relevant manager.
Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Fully proficient user of Microsoft Office particularly in Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Food Safety Level 2 in Manufacturing.
- To demonstrate an understanding of internal audit processes.
- Technical KPI’s and non-conformance techniques will be required alongside basic allergen awareness and legal labelling practice.
- Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels both verbal and written.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks at one time.
- Self-motivator and a team player, with the ability to work on own initiative when required.
- Allergen Awareness Level 2 - desirable.
- Understanding of BRC – desirable.
- Working a two-shift rota of days and afternoons.
