Job Description
We’re recruiting for a Head of Health & Safety to join us.
This role involves developing, overseeing, managing, and supporting all aspects of our management and compliance systems to ensure a safe working environment for staff, stakeholders, and customers. You will also oversee compliance with all relevant Health and Safety regulations for LGAH businesses acting as employer, landlord, and developer.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing ongoing compliance with ISO45001 across the businesses.
- Leading health and safety assurance activities, including the implementation of the Landlord Assurance model and CDM site safety assurance.
- Acting as the responsible person for safety and compliance, including incident investigation and reporting.
- Managing procurement and relationships with specialists providing competent person, fire safety, and other services.
- Supporting the certification process for other quality standards within the Quality Management system.
- Ensuring policies are up to date and reviewed according to regulatory changes.
- Developing and reporting on safety and compliance performance metrics.
- Managing safety and compliance risks.
- Working with business teams to embed safety and compliance in processes from site acquisition to management.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have:
- Experience managing ISO quality standards.
- A commitment to safety and compliance.
- Experience working with HSE and regulatory bodies.
- Experience in residential property.
- A background in health and safety and compliance.
- Knowledge of legislation impacting affordable housing.
- Strong regulatory standards implementation skills.
- Experience with risk assessments and incident investigations.
