In this role, you will be responsible for organizing and creating a diverse activities programme, including hobbies and group events, to promote independence, choice, and dignity for our residents. You will get to know residents personally, understanding their interests and life stories to deliver enriching activities that foster community connection. You will lead and motivate colleagues to deliver activities within the home, actively promote activities within the community, and encourage family and friends to participate. Additionally, you will manage necessary paperwork and oversee budgets.

HC One is looking for someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally in developing activity programmes and leading teams. Your positive energy, excellent planning, organizational, and IT skills, and ability to build relationships within the community are essential. You should communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know the steps to take if concerns arise. All staff are required to attend safeguarding training and undertake additional relevant training. You should also be able to seek advice and report concerns appropriately.
