PURPOSE OF POSITION: ARK Groupβs HR department provides support services across all projects and offices. A partnership approach facilitates and enhances HR related matters, to the benefit of employees, management, consultants, projects, and partners. A broad remit means the role works across both strategic and operational matters and works closely with partners in both Operations and other Support Services functions to ensure the provision of excellent quality HR services. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small HR Team in a growing organisation, the position is a short-term contract with the possibility to extend and is focussed on supporting operational excellence, in addition to lead and support on various HR Projects with the Head of HR to deliver on the People Strategy.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Liaising with Country HR to ensure there is a consistent approach to supporting staff through the employee lifecycle.
- Advise on people issues consistent with policy, process and practice.
- Build effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Coordinate with country HR the end-to-end performance management process for all staff ensure that the performance management process is aligned to any changing organisational priorities.
- Provide support to line management in the Performance Management process.
- Liaising with country HR teams to identify Learning and Development needs and skills gap analysis.
- Working with the Head of HR and Country HR to review on an annual basis country pay award proposals with a view to ensuring that they are all aligned with corporate principles and market data.
- Support the HR Team with end-to-end recruitment process of staff, including administration, approval process, reporting.
- Participate and Lead on HR Projects working with the HR Team and Head of HR, including Reward review, salary benchmarking, job design and evaluation.
- HRMS implementation.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proven HR experience, essential to have experience of global reward strategies, job evaluation and benchmarking.
- Proficient in MS Office, knowledge of HRMS and system implementation desirable.
- Solid experience in working with and partnering with teams in the MENA region.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem solving and decision-making aptitude.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- USAID and sector experience desirable.
- Open to international travel, regularly visiting ARK Group offices.
