Join us as our Head of Ethical Compliance to play your part in the continued global expansion of a billion-dollar success story in fitness retail. This opportunity will be a great fit if you have a proven track record in apparel or textile manufacturing supply chains. You’ll shape and drive Gymshark’s Ethical Strategy, tackling risks and spearheading impactful communications, while leading innovative community projects across our supply chain to ensure Gymshark stands as a powerful force for good. The hybrid working pattern features a minimum of three days a week at our global HQ in Solihull, UK.
As our Head of Ethical Compliance, you’ll lead our ethical compliance strategy, drive global sustainability initiatives, and foster meaningful change across our supply chain. Reporting to the Sustainability Director, this senior role is pivotal in shaping our ethical commitments and community impact.
Key Responsibilities:- Developing and implementing Gymshark’s Ethical Compliance strategy to meet global standards.
- Overseeing the global rollout of our Ethical Audit program across supply chain tiers (T1-T4).
- Building and nurturing community projects and supplier relationships within the supply chain.
- Monitoring, managing, and mitigating ethical risks within Gymshark’s and the wider industry supply chain.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for supplier relationships and ethical engagement.
- Managing sustainability reporting, including the Modern Slavery Report and relevant KPIs.
- Leading internal and external communications on ethical practices and community initiatives.
- Driving supplier performance improvements through corrective action plans and training programs.
- Leading ethical management, compliance, and stakeholder engagement across Gymshark and external partners.
- Aligning the Ethical Compliance Strategy with Gymshark’s commitments, including Fair Labour Association membership.
- Driving implementation and transparent reporting of impactful Supply Chain Community Projects.
- Delivering and exceeding performance targets for Ethical Compliance KPIs and commitments.
- Ensuring full compliance with UK and global ethical and legislative standards.
We are looking for:
- Extensive experience in textile/apparel manufacturing supply chains, including supplier audit programs.
- Proven expertise in ethical management, compliance, FLA standards, and ZDHC or similar industry audits.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, balancing priorities to ensure ethical compliance is prioritized.
- Ability to build and maintain strategic supplier relationships, ensuring alignment with Gymshark’s Ethical Strategy.
- Exceptional data analysis, reporting, and communication skills for internal and external audiences.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities, driving accountability and performance.
- Experience managing and delivering complex supply chain projects collaboratively.
- Confident in conducting global supplier visits and managing agendas to deliver measurable value.
- Skilled in training development, storytelling, and inspiring ethical practices across all levels.
