Monsoon Childrenswear ensures to deliver fun, uniqueness and quality to our customers. A heritage running back to 1995, Childrenswear has found its own voice and we encourage passionate and talented people to join this team. We are looking for a Print and Graphic Designer to cover maternity leave, working within our wider design team, focusing on developing our Monsoon Children’s print range from concept stage to production, working across multi product categories.
You will be …
- Owning Print and Graphic Design Development for Monsoon Childrenswear.
- Researching current and future print trends to drive newness whilst keeping to the Monsoon handwriting.
- Design, develop and brief varied print artworks using mediums like hand painting, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Drawing influences from vintage artworks, seasonal global trends, and catwalks.
- Sending out print packs, colour standards, and artworks to suppliers.
- Managing the delivery of the print Critical Path, ensuring timely development.
- Collaborating with buying teams and responding to trade information.
- Adapting to the changing needs of the business to ensure product delivery.
- Managing Freelance print support and Print Design Assistant.
We’d love to meet someone with…
- Previous experience as a Print Designer for an aspirational brand or similar high street retailer.
- Exceptional print design skills, including knowledge of rotary size print repeats, factory colour limitations, and complex repeats.
- Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Good hand painting skills with a versatile portfolio.
- Strong understanding of the Monsoon Children’s brand customer.
- Trend-forward thinking and directional print eye.
- Experience managing a critical path and effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, managing a Print Design Assistant.
- A passion for designing prints and graphics for childrenswear.
