As an Insurance Software Consultant you will play a critical role in creating and expanding opportunities within our key named accounts. This is a high-impact role requiring strong business acumen, a consultative approach, and a deep understanding of the insurance market or related industries. You’ll collaborate closely with Account Executives (AEs) and Sales Directors within your pod to map out and deeply understand target accounts, uncover pain points, and build relationships with decision-makers. Your efforts will directly contribute to generating qualified, high-value opportunities for the sales team to close.
Responsibilities- Develop Strategic Opportunities: Work with top accounts in your territory to identify pain points, build relationships with key personas, and secure new business meetings. Convert these engagements into well-qualified, high-value opportunities.
- Multi-Thread Engagements: Collaborate with AEs to engage with multiple stakeholders within accounts, expanding relationships to include higher-level decision-makers and champions.
- Elevate Messaging for Existing Opportunities: Support pipeline progression by delivering tailored messaging to C-level executives, unlocking additional business lines or higher-value opportunities.
- Drive Deal Momentum: Facilitate “deal progression” meetings within accounts to build engagement, increase platform adoption, and drive stickiness.
- Collaborate with Marketing: Partner with marketing to ensure consistent and compelling messaging for events, webinars, and campaigns, and to provide feedback on campaign effectiveness.
As part of the SDR team, you’ll work in close partnership with your Pod’s Sales Director and Account Executives, ensuring alignment on account strategy and opportunity development. You’ll collaborate extensively with marketing, providing feedback loops to drive continuous improvement in campaign execution and messaging. Peer-to-peer alignment within the SDR team will foster a culture of knowledge sharing and best practices.
PersonaWe’re looking for ambitious and experienced individuals with a passion for offering true value to the insurance industry through consultative selling.
Experience:- Around 18 months+ direct experience working within an insurer in an Underwriting, Actuarial or similar role.
- Solid understanding of commercial P&C market.
- Strong existing network to leverage desirable.
- Confident and keen to spend time at the industry events and social circuits.
- Sufficiently strong analytical understanding.
Familiarity with the structure and operations of insurance companies, and an understanding of the roles of actuaries, underwriters, and specialty/reinsurance markets, is preferred and highly desirable.
