The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

The role will be responsible for providing the business with accurate forecasts of demand to ensure the right stock levels are held on site at all times to meet customer requirements.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop, maintain, and improve accurate demand forecasts for material and finished goods to support production and purchasing plans.
  • Collaborate closely with the Buying and Production teams to ensure materials and products are available to meet production schedules and customer demand to achieve On Time Delivery (OTD).
  • Monitor stock levels and consumption rates to anticipate supply needs, avoid stockouts, and reduce excess inventory.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of components and finished goods.
  • Lead regular planning meetings to review production schedules, inventory status, and forecast updates.
  • Identify and mitigate supply risks or delays through proactive planning and communication.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain process to increase efficiency and responsiveness.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field; APICS certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Proven experience in demand planning, materials planning, or operations planning preferably in a manufacturing or production-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical and planning skills, with the ability to work with complex datasets and forecasting tools (e.g. Excel, Oracle, SAP).
  • Hands-on experience with inventory optimization strategies, including JIT and EOQ methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, production scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail, problem-solving capability, and a proactive, continuous improvement mindset.
