The Role: In this role you will provide 3rd line support for all systems including VOIP Telephony systems and Macs to all college IT system users and provide escalation support to all IT systems engineers. You will have strong skills in networking, virtualisation and application support. Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent, MCSE certified, or working towards attainment and ITIL Foundation would be beneficial but not essential.

- Windows 10 – advanced administration.
- IP Telephony, hardware and software.
- Active Directory user & computer management and group policy.
- VMWare ESXi & vServer 6+
- Apple Mac iOS, Jamf Pro and Apple Remote Desktop.
- Linux – Commands/Apple Mac Terminal Knowledge.
- Networking – TCP/IP, DNS, SNMP, PXE, DHCP.
- Anti-virus – administration and deployment.
- WSUS administration.
- SCCM, Deploy Studio, Jamf Pro deployment.
- Configuring Cisco/Juniper switches.
- VMWare vSphere administration.
- Excellent customer facing skills.
- Basic knowledge of some 3rd line support systems: Veeam back-up, SQL Server, IIS Server, Exchange, PowerShell, SharePoint, IIS.
- Ability to work to strict guidelines and have a high attention to detail.
- Ability to organise, prioritise and schedule work to meet deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to apply these when dealing with technical and non-technical staff.
- Self-motivation but the ability also to work flexibly as part of a team.
