Location: Cardrona

Hours of Work: Guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours/week. Rostered hours, including weekends and day/night shifts.

Live, work and play in the mountains! We are an award-winning country hotel located amidst the mountains of the Southern Alps, right at the bottom of the Cardrona Alpine resort. Enjoy the amazing outdoor opportunities in every season: skiing in the winter, hiking, biking, and fishing in the summer. Head over to Queenstown on your days off but live in the serenity of the Cardrona Valley. We are between Queenstown and Wanaka – the perfect location to explore the area.

The Cardrona Hotel is looking for a Duty Manager to work at our busy bar. This position is rostered full time and mainly consists of evening shifts, including weekends. We require a minimum availability until after the busy Easter weekend, and even beyond if suitable to all parties.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:

  • Current LCQ/Duty Manager’s certificate
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment is a must
  • Passion for hospitality and a genuine interest in the job

This position suits someone who would thrive in a more varied environment compared to a traditional Duty Manager role. You will be hands-on involved in customer service, run the bar, deal with houseguests and other customers, answer the phone… there’s lots of variety to keep you on your toes!
