Our client, who are based on the outskirts of Norwich, are an established automotive technology company with a global client base. They are recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their innovative R&D team.

You will be responsible for producing mechanical designs for a range of products and applications in 3D and 2D using SolidWorks.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop design concepts using 2D drawings, 3D models and prototypes.
  • Produce engineering drawings, specifications, BOM structures, part lists and costings.
  • Managing multiple design tasks at once.
  • Work closely with other disciplines, manufacturing departments and suppliers.
Key requirements:
  • Mechanical Design experience – producing schematics, modelling, and detailing.
  • Working in a fast-paced, time pressured R&D environment.
  • Advanced CAD skills, preference for SolidWorks & AutoCAD.
  • Automotive experience would be preferred but not essential.
Salary and Benefits:
