With one of the most modern animal feeds mills in Europe, Fane Valley Feeds is committed to producing the highest quality feeds for our customers. We now have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Ruminant Nutritionist at our Omagh Mill. Ruminant Nutritionist Job Ref No: FVF/RN/01/25 The Role: To provide customers and the sales team with technical advice and support on ruminant nutrition, diet formulation and feeding practice to maximise milk production or daily live weight gain; Assist with the development evaluation of feed additives, concepts and the development of the Fane Valley Feeds product range; To provide training and ensure the sales team are up to date with the latest research and best practice on feeding to maximise production and health of ruminant livestock. The Person: Have a degree level qualification in agricultural or animal science (or equivalent); Possess sound knowledge of ruminant production systems and nutrition; Preferably have previous experience of providing advice to farmers; Ideally have previous experience working as a Ruminant Nutritionist and the formulation of feed plans and diets; Demonstrate excellent communication skills; Be IT literate; Have the ability to work on their own initiative and within a busy team; Show attention to detail and be able to prioritise a busy workload; Have a full current driving licence valid in the UK.
