We are looking for an ATE Software Development Engineer to join our innovative team in Durham. At Pragmatic Semiconductor, we are transforming semiconductor fabrication with our ultra-low-cost, flexible integrated circuit (FlexIC) technology, enabling the seamless integration of intelligence almost anywhere! This on-site role involves collaborating closely with the ATE Software Team and Test Operations Engineers to deliver high-quality Automated Test Software.

We seek a candidate proficient in automation and testing, with experience in a manufacturing environment and expertise in debugging LabVIEW and TestStand-based Automated Testing Software.

Key Tasks
  • Manage the deployment of new test systems to the production environment.
  • Define, implement and maintain standard operating procedures for the transfer of new systems to our manufacturing facilities.
  • LabVIEW and TestStand code development.
  • Diagnose and debug issues in ATE Software on site, including working with probers.
  • Gather verification data for existing and new test system deployments and present reports to Test Operations.
  • Provide support to Test Operations Engineers in their daily running and maintenance of production test systems.
Qualifications and Training
  • MSc / Degree (Engineering / Computer Science / Electronics Science) or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of LabVIEW (TestStand programming would be very desirable).
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Experience with LabVIEW and TestStand.
  • Source code control using Git (or similar).
  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to work within a diverse and multi-site team.
  • Communication Protocols: GPIB.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Experience with using TestStand to execute LabVIEW code modules.
  • Experience with Python scripting.
  • Hardware fault-finding skills.
  • Experience with NI SMUs, PXI, cRIO, cDAQ, NI GPIB, Keysight Function Generators.
