Are you a detail-oriented Business Analyst with a passion for driving transformational change in financial services? We are looking for a skilled and motivated professional to join a small but growing new change team, working on complex projects that enhance efficiency, compliance, and overall business performance.
About the Role
As the Business Analyst, you will play a key role in analyzing business processes, managing workstreams, and driving change initiatives from concept to implementation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders, ensuring compliance with UK financial regulations while improving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Analysis & Change Implementation
- Evaluate existing business processes, identifying areas for optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Analyze 'As-Is' processes and design Target Operating Models to streamline operations.
- Lead requirements gathering workshops and one-on-one sessions to capture detailed business needs.
- Ensure project alignment with business objectives, prioritizing and challenging requirements where necessary.
- Support the rollout of internal process changes, system upgrades, and new policies.
- Ensure changes meet UK regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
- Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Engage with senior stakeholders, including Relationship Management, Banking Operations, and Risk functions.
- Develop strong working relationships across departments, guiding them through the change lifecycle.
- Communicate complex ideas clearly, influencing decision-makers and leading Design Authority sessions.
- Produce high-quality documentation, including business cases, requirements traceability matrices, process flows, UAT scenarios, and training materials.
- Project Governance & Risk Management
- Assist in drafting and supporting Business Cases for key initiatives.
- Identify and manage Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAIDs) within projects.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring project alignment with strategic goals.
- Work with vendors to manage external service providers and monitor performance.
What You Bring
- Experience in a small or growing financial services firm, with the ability to work across multiple areas.
- Strong understanding of UK financial regulations and compliance.
- Expertise in process analysis, business transformation, and change implementation.
- Ability to facilitate workshops, stakeholder discussions, and process mapping exercises.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
- Proficiency in tools such as MS Visio, JIRA, MS Project, and Office Suite.
- Experience in Agile methodologies and working in dynamic environments.
- Professional certifications such as IIBA, CBAP, BCS, Lean/Six Sigma (preferred).
- PMP, APM, or PRINCE2 certification (a plus).
