Do you have a passion for storytelling, content structure, and creating binge-worthy videos? We’re looking for a YouTube & Long-Form Video Editor to join our dynamic team. You’ll be responsible for turning daily-filmed footage into polished, entertaining long-form content that builds brand trust, increases watch time, and drives traffic to our websites and apps. You’ll be working alongside our rapidly growing creative team with proven experience in scaling YouTube channels and video-based communities.
What the Opportunity Looks Like:
- Long-Form Editing: Craft full-length videos (8–30 minutes) from raw footage with strong intros, narrative pacing, engaging visuals, and calls to action.
- Repurposing Content: Take in-house recorded sessions, interviews, vlogs, or podcasts and turn them into YouTube-ready content that retains viewer attention.
- Creative Collaboration: Work closely with our media team to shape and evolve our YouTube visual identity and content style.
- Audience Retention Strategy: Use watch-time data, drop-off points, and audience feedback to inform edits that increase engagement and retention.
- Consistent Branding: Maintain visual and tonal consistency across all videos, including graphics, motion design, and music.
Skills and Experience We’d Like You to Have:
- YouTube Native: You regularly watch YouTube, understand its content ecosystem, and keep up with trends, creators, and viewer expectations.
- Editing Experience: 2+ years of experience editing for YouTube or similar long-form platforms (examples/portfolio required).
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro. Experience with After Effects is a plus.
- Storytelling Ability: You can build a narrative arc, pace a video correctly, and know when to cut or hold for emotional or comedic effect.
- Attention to Detail: Every frame, sound cue, and transition is important to you.
- Analytical Thinking: You know how to interpret YouTube Studio analytics and use them to optimize video edits.
- Soft Skills: Strong communicator, takes feedback constructively, and enjoys working as part of a tight-knit, fast-moving team.
