We are now recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our Service Centre in Birmingham on our Night shift pattern.
What’s the job duties?
- To proactively work as part of a multi-skilled team to maintain all manufacturing assets.
- Actively complete root cause analysis, returning the equipment in a safe and timely manner, driving efficiency, quality, and reliability improvements.
- Complete maintenance using a multi skilled approach.
- Perform proactive and reactive maintenance, ensuring that health and safety procedures are always followed.
- Continually seek ways to improve all processes and procedures relating to the maintenance of equipment.
- Support site Reliability agenda: Identification of failure modes and trends, complete root cause analysis processes and drive the agreed actions.
- Provide support to site Project and Change Initiatives as appropriate.
- Ensure all tasks are risk assessed through site specific or dynamic risk assessments.
- Report all maintenance tasks on CMMS system as required and to the correct standard.
- Involvement in continuous improvement projects.
- Issue work permits and supervise contractors.
What Qualifications/Skills are we looking for?
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a Mech/Electrical/Multi Skilled Engineering Qualification.
- Evidence of cross skilling is required if your qualification is of a mechanical specialism.
Desirable:
- 18th Edition wiring regulations.
- PAT Testing
- PLC qualifications
- Abrasive Wheels
- Welding
- IOSH
- Machine Safety (PILZ)
