A Graduate Trainee or Experienced Pension Analyst is required for a well-established Company located in Wetherby, West Yorkshire. The candidate should have good Microsoft Excel, Word, analytical, and mathematical modelling skills with the ability to work well within a team environment and support colleagues. Previous experience of pensions would be an advantage, but this is not essential as full training will be provided.

SALARY: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum + Bonus (opportunity to earn a bonus based on individual performance and overall profitability)

Study support is expected to be provided for relevant professional exams, such as those of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or the Pensions Management Institute (after a minimum service period).

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

The role involves writing Actuarial and Pensions Reports related to Divorce, Personal Injury, and Employment Tribunal Cases, along with providing administrative, marketing, and technical support to ensure smooth business operations. The candidate must be able to work independently and be highly motivated. Effective communication, professionalism, and teamwork are essential. Analytical thinking and mathematical modelling skills are required, especially proficiency in Excel and Word.

Minimum Qualifications: Degree in Mathematics or Actuarial Science (2:1 or higher). Consideration will be given to candidates with a Science, Engineering, or Financial degree with significant mathematical content, also at 2:1 or higher. The successful candidate will receive study support for actuarial exams of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or Pensions Management Institute after one year of service.

Duties include:

  • Writing actuarial and pension reports for various cases
  • Mathematical modelling for actuarial valuations and calculations
  • Analysis of client files to gather necessary information
  • Data collection and analysis, liaising with insurance companies, pension schemes, and solicitors
  • Providing business support for operational tasks
