Welders Responsibilities:

  • Perform 135 MAG semi-automatic welding in compliance with BS EN 287 standards, along with MIG welding techniques.
  • Conduct welding on aluminium, stainless steel, and mild steel components ranging from 2mm to 25mm in thickness, including corrosion repairs on train body shells.
  • Prepare materials for welding through the use of various hand tools, including grinding and buffing equipment.
  • Complete precision welds based on specific technical drawings, including fabrication of brackets, structural beams, joints, and sole bars.
  • Contribute to infrastructure development and construction across dedicated project assignments.
  • Qualify in CSWIP welding inspection, ensuring weld quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Collaborate within a team environment, ensuring all required documentation and procedural instructions were accurately followed and completed.
  • Actively support and uphold the company’s values by fostering positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and external partners.
  • Adhere strictly to internal policies and procedures as outlined in the company’s Employee Handbook.

Welders Requirements:

  • Ideally come from an engineering/commercial environment.
  • Must be time served with the relevant qualifications from accredited bodies.
  • Good attention to detail able to identify issues and find ways to rectify them.
