Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled Quality Automation Engineer to join a dedicated delivery squad. The successful candidate will work alongside frontend, backend, and mobile engineers, as well as a Product Owner, to ensure the quality and reliability of the platform. The role will involve both manual and automated testing, with a focus on developing robust test automation using Playwright, Pytest, and Allure Reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers and the Product Owner to understand feature requirements, acceptance criteria, and risk areas.
- Conduct thorough manual and exploratory testing of new features and bug fixes.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated UI and functional tests, integrating them into the existing automation framework.
- Enhance the automated regression suite to improve coverage, speed, and reliability.
- Participate in squad ceremonies to represent quality assurance.
- Provide clear, actionable bug reports and track issues to resolution.
- Share product and domain knowledge to foster quality across the development lifecycle.
Skills & Experience:Essential:
- Strong Python coding experience
- Experience with Playwright or Selenium
- Proven experience in QA/testing roles within SaaS or web application environments.
- Strong manual testing and exploratory testing skills.
- Ability to analyse requirements, identify gaps, and define test scenarios.
- Familiarity with agile development and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills.
Desirable:
- Experience with risk, security, or threat intelligence platforms.
- API and mobile application testing experience.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to performance or security testing.
