Location: Birmingham

Duration: Full time, ongoing

Salary: £95 – £105 per day

The School/role: We are looking for a full time learning support assistant to start with us on a long-term supply basis. This supportive school is a happy, thriving school that is proud to be part of our local community.

Key Duties:

  • Constant Supervision: Provide vigilant supervision to ensure the safety of the child and others, particularly in managing disruptive behaviour.
  • Building Trusting Relationships: Foster a trusting relationship with the student to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Sensory Room Assistance: Facilitate the student’s engagement in the sensory room to enhance their learning experience.
  • Outdoor Activities: Organise and facilitate opportunities for the student to run around outside each day, promoting physical activity and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background
  • PECS and Makaton training/experience
  • PMLD, SLD, MLD, ASD and Complex needs experience
  • Level 1 safeguarding certificate
  • Recent school based references
  • Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
  • Full DBS – on the update service
