My client is seeking a Site Chemist to join their team based in Southampton. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field, with previous experience in the Waste Management industry.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the safe operation of the site
  • Waste handling
  • Liaising with site management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with site permits and waste acceptance regulations
  • Oversee safe operation of the site and waste handling
  • Monitor quality and compliance, submit non-conformance reports and invoices on time
  • Maintain a paperwork trail for all processed/repacked waste to ensure traceability

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field
  • Previous experience as a Site Chemist, Lab Analyst, or similar is desirable
  • Good laboratory practice and H&S knowledge
  • Experience in Waste Management industry is desirable but not essential
  • Forklift License is desirable but not essential
