Salary: roughly £130-160k + equity

Location: Central London (2-3 office days/week)

We're partnering with a very exciting Mental Health start-up who are building a comprehensive mental health platform with both free direct-to-consumer as well as B2B offerings. Having recently partnered with the biggest healthcare provider in the world, and been named Start up & App of the year, they're well positioned for rapid growth.

They're looking for VP/Head of Data & AI to spearhead the development of an ML/AI patient triage platform - we're looking for a technical (hands-on) leader with experience working in the HealthTech space (ideally mental health related), in a start-up/scale-up environment.

Technical and Data Challenges:
  • Managing sensitive conversation data from users discussing mental health issues
  • Establishing data privacy and security protocols, especially for B2B partnerships
  • Implementing clinical efficacy guardrails for AI systems
  • Creating appropriate boundaries between AI companion vs. therapist role
  • Developing comprehensive data modelling and analytics capabilities
Required expertise:
  • HealthTech background is a must have, ideally with experience working on Mental Health products/services
  • Deep machine learning, data engineering and AI expertise
  • Ability to be hands-on while developing strategic direction (and leading a team in the future)
  • Proven track record building data services to enable product innovation
  • Experience defining data architecture and governance
  • Understanding of clinical safety considerations
