As a CAD Operator at our fire door manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed technical drawings and designs using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. Working closely with our design and engineering teams, you will play a key role in producing drawings that adhere to industry standards and contribute to the production of high-quality fire doors. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating precise and innovative designs.
Location: Knowsley
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:- Utilise CAD software to create detailed and accurate technical drawings, sketches, and plans for fire doors.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Interpret and translate sketches, drawings, and verbal instructions into CAD designs.
- Ensure drawings comply with fire safety regulations and industry standards.
- Revise and modify designs based on feedback and changes from project stakeholders.
- Generate bill of materials and assist in coordinating procurement of required materials.
- Conduct quality checks to verify dimensions, accuracy, and completeness of the drawings.
- Maintain a digital library of drawings, ensuring proper version control and organisation.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate and prioritise workload to meet project deadlines.
- Stay updated with the latest CAD software advancements, techniques, and industry trends.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior CAD operators as needed.
- Proven experience as a CAD Operator or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or construction industry.
- Proficient in using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
- Strong technical aptitude and understanding of engineering and architectural principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce precise and accurate technical drawings.
- Knowledge of fire safety regulations and standards related to fire door manufacturing.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with project stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
- A relevant qualification in Computer-Aided Design or a related discipline is preferred.
