As a CAD Operator at our fire door manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed technical drawings and designs using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. Working closely with our design and engineering teams, you will play a key role in producing drawings that adhere to industry standards and contribute to the production of high-quality fire doors. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating precise and innovative designs. Location: Knowsley Schedule:Full-Time |Monday – Friday The application process will require you to show where the essential skills and experiences have been demonstrated. Responsibilities: Utilise CAD software to create detailed and accurate technical drawings, sketches, and plans for fire doors. Collaborate with design and engineering teams to understand project requirements and specifications. Interpret and translate sketches, drawings, and verbal instructions into CAD designs. Ensure drawings comply with fire safety regulations and industry standards. Revise and modify designs based on feedback and changes from project stakeholders. Generate bill of materials and assist in coordinating procurement of required materials. Conduct quality checks to verify dimensions, accuracy, and completeness of the drawings. Maintain a digital library of drawings, ensuring proper version control and organisation. Collaborate with team members to coordinate and prioritise workload to meet project deadlines. Stay updated with the latest CAD software advancements, techniques, and industry trends. Assist in training and mentoring junior CAD operators as needed. Requirements Proven experience as a CAD Operator or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or construction industry. Proficient in using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar). Strong technical aptitude and understanding of engineering and architectural principles. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce precise and accurate technical drawings. Knowledge of fire safety regulations and standards related to fire door manufacturing. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with project stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
