HGV Technician

My Client are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their team and help keep customers vehicles on the road.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and trailers to DVSA standards.

• Perform routine inspections

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic equipment.

• Replace or repair parts, including brakes, engines, transmissions, steering, and suspension systems.

• Complete job cards and service sheets accurately and promptly.

• Ensure all work is carried out in a safe and timely manner, following health and safety protocols.

• Liaise with the Workshop Manager and other team members on job progress.

• Keep the workshop clean and organized.

• Attend breakdowns and recoveries when required (if applicable).

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 in HGV Vehicle Repair & Maintenance plus will have experience in carrying out diagnostic and service repairs

• Proven experience as a HGV mechanic or technician.

• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Flexibility for shift work, overtime, and occasional call-outs (if applicable).
