Adderstone Group is looking to expand its in-house legal team of four solicitors and two paralegals. This is a unique opportunity to join one of the region’s largest property management, investment and development firms. The Adderstone Group holds a national portfolio of assets worth c.£140 million across the office, retail, leisure, logistics and residential sectors which are managed in-house with our legal team. Our development divisions specialise in the acquisition of land for residential housing, civils and office refurbishments. You will have exposure to high value and complex work that is on par with a private practice experience. You will be working with a capable, experienced and valued in-house team which, in recent years, has led high value acquisitions of commercial and residential property together with lettings to blue chip tenants. Our in-house team also represents Adderstone Living, our residential developer. Our legal team is based in our recently refurbished head office in The Fleming which is a short distance from the city centre and Jesmond metro station. This is a full time, permanent role and will be office based. Essential Experience: At least three years’ post qualification commercial property experience, ideally within a regional or national firm. There is no limit to the PQE that will be considered for this role. Exposure to landlord and tenant, acquisitions/disposals and secured lending. Proactive attitude and willingness to gain experience in other work types. Desirable Experience: Commercial litigation experience gained post qualification or from a strong training seat. Experience of debt/equity corporate joint ventures. Exposure to developer and/or institutional investor clients.
