Velonetic represents the joint ventures between DXC Technology, the International Underwriting Association (IUA), and Lloyd’s of London. We have been operating for over 20 years in the London market, processing over £101 billion worth of premium and claims transactions. We are building a new digital platform and services that will enable our customers to move transactions and money through the processing lifecycle with greater efficiency and speed.
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an individual who has strong London Market knowledge and Lloyd’s market systems knowledge. A Professional Casualty Adjuster works under the direction of a Team Manager, performing a range of technical checks and processes a variety of insurance documentation for different customers and classes of business. All work processed must meet agreed service levels in respect of quality and turnaround times. Training will be provided for all insurance documentation/systems required to perform the role.
We’re Looking For People Who Have:
- Strong numeracy, verbal and literacy skills
- Ability to manage and adjust all inward claims within claims handling/settlement authority and in accordance with claims handling procedures
- Report claims in accordance with claims reporting requirements
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Outlook and MS Office
- Work to a high level of accuracy with attention to detail
- Strong organisational, personal and time management skills
- Ability to demonstrate strong negotiating and influencing skills
- Positive attitude and natural curiosity to identify improvements
- Good understanding of insurance wordings
- Understanding of principles and practice of insurance
- Previous experience in handling liability claims (UK & US liability) (Employers Liability, Public Liability/General Liability, Products Liability etc.)
- Experience of working closely with customers, brokers, and underwriters
- Experience of handling claims within London Market claims, Reinsurance claims and/or international claims would be beneficial but not necessary
