Our leading global client is seeking an experienced SAP MDG Programme Manager to lead a Greenfield SAP MDG implementation within a large, multi-country consumer goods organisation. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), combined with strong programme management and supplier management capabilities. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring a blend of strategic oversight, hands-on programme delivery, and technical understanding of the MDG solution, data models, and governance structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of a Greenfield SAP MDG implementation across multiple countries and business units.
- Define and drive the overall programme strategy, timelines, milestones, risk mitigation plans, and budget controls.
- Engage and manage third-party suppliers and system integrators to ensure delivery performance and alignment with project objectives.
- Act as the main point of contact between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners.
- Provide leadership in defining and governing master data models, workflows, and governance processes in line with SAP MDG best practices.
- Work closely with data owners, IT, and business units to ensure alignment on data standards, policies, and compliance.
- Manage stakeholder communications and reporting at executive and programme board level.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience delivering at least one Greenfield SAP MDG implementation in a large, complex organisation.
- Strong programme management background with successful delivery of multi-country SAP initiatives.
- Deep understanding of SAP MDG data models, governance frameworks, and technical components.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage large external partners/SIs.
- Experience in setting up and managing governance frameworks and data ownership models across a global landscape.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and conflict resolution skills.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed, and culturally diverse environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP MDG or SAP S/4HANA certifications (desirable).
- Familiarity with tools like SAP Solution Manager, ARIS, or Agile delivery frameworks in SAP contexts.
- Experience working in or with multinational consumer goods companies.
