Responsibilities:
- Conduct trade and communication surveillance to detect and report potential market abuse and regulatory breaches (MAR, REMIT).
- Advise the business on regulatory changes and support compliance with MiFID II, EMIR, and other applicable rules.
- Develop and maintain the trade surveillance program, including calibrating alerts and improving detection systems.
- Support the creation of a compliance framework for algorithmic trading and ensure governance of electronic trading activities.
- Build partnerships across global teams and support compliance training to foster a strong culture of ethics and compliance.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of energy commodity trading and at least 5 years experience with algorithmic trading.
- Knowledge of key trading regulations (MiFID, MAR, REMIT, EMIR) and experience in compliance monitoring/surveillance.
- Open to compliance generalist but preferred talents who are familiar with surveillance tools like SCILA.
- Fluent in German is ideal.
