As Director of Business Development – Node API , you will be responsible for driving growth for Validation Cloud\’s high-performance Node API product by securing strategic partnerships across the blockchain ecosystem. Your mission will be to identify, engage, and close relationships with blockchain developers, dApps, gaming studios, infrastructure providers, and enterprise partners that rely on robust API-based node access. Working closely with our executive, GTM, and product teams, you\’ll shape go-to-market strategies that position Validation Cloud as the preferred infrastructure partner for developers and organizations building on-chain.
This is a high-impact role that requires both strategic vision and hands-on execution, with an emphasis on scaling our Node API adoption across multiple blockchain networks and industries.
Key Responsibilities Identify, target, and build relationships with high-value prospects, including blockchain developers, dApps, gaming studios, and enterprise clients seeking reliable node API infrastructure.
Work closely with product and engineering teams to understand and translate technical capabilities into compelling business value propositions for partners and customers.
Lead commercial negotiations for Node API usage agreements, partnerships, and integrations that align with revenue growth goals.
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for Node API adoption across different blockchain ecosystems, prioritizing high-growth verticals and geographies.
Maintain a deep understanding of blockchain network roadmaps to identify opportunities for early integrations and developer onboarding.
Partner with marketing to create materials, campaigns, and events that promote the Node API product and drive developer engagement.
Act as a trusted advisor to partners, ensuring ongoing value delivery and exploring expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
Represent Validation Cloud at industry conferences, hackathons, and developer events to evangelize the Node API offering.
About You Attributes: Strong network and relationships across blockchain ecosystems, particularly with developer communities, protocols, and infrastructure partners.
Passion for developer adoption and an understanding of what drives usage in API-based infrastructure products.
Ability to work in a fast-moving, dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
Skilled communicator and negotiator, capable of bridging technical detail and business outcomes.
Requirements: 5+ years in business development, partnerships, or sales in blockchain, cloud infrastructure, or API-based products.
Demonstrated success in sourcing, negotiating, and closing high-value partnerships or customer agreements.
Deep understanding of blockchain infrastructure, developer tools, and API product dynamics.
Track record of working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and marketing teams.
Comfortable with technical concepts such as RPC endpoints, API authentication, scaling considerations, and multi-chain support.
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage complex deals from start to finish.
