Sheet Metal Worker

Our client, based on the outskirts of Runcorn, are looking for a skilled Sheet Metal Worker/TIG Welder to start straight away.

The job is permanent from day 1, is working Monday to Thursday (7am – 5pm) and will pay £17.56/hr PAYE.

Someone from a sheet metal background would be preferred, who is used to carrying out TIG welding & able to read engineering drawings. The sheet metal duties are fairly basic in terms of rolling & forming.

This role involves working with various materials, primarily stainless steel, to assemble components and create high-quality products.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and parts according to specifications.
• Read and understand engineering drawings in order to carry out fabrication.
• Work with variety of metals to produce high quality work.
• Working in a small team but also able to manage their own small welding jobs.

Qualifications

• Skilled/Qualified in welding (mainly TIG) and able to read drawings.
• Experience working with sheet metal processes, rolling, forming etc.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to work independently while also being a cooperative team player.
