Job Title: Multi-Skilled General Steel Erector\\nLocation: Rural West Lancashire (with work primarily across sites in the North West)\\n\\nA well-established company based in rural West Lancashire, specialising in the manufacture and erection of steel portal frame buildings, is currently seeking a Multi-Skilled General Steel Erector to join our experienced steel erection team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a close-knit and skilled workforce, delivering high-quality steel structures across the North West.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\n * \\n\\n Assist in the erection of steel portal frame buildings on various construction sites.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Support the team in handling, positioning, and fixing steel components.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Work safely at heights and follow health and safety procedures at all times.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Contribute to general site duties as required, including basic groundworks and installation of rainwater goods.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Handle sheet materials and other building components as needed.\\n\\nWorking Hours:\\n\\n * \\n\\n Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 17:00\\n\\n * \\n\\n Overtime may be available on occasion, depending on workload.\\n\\nPay and Benefits:\\n\\n * \\n\\n Pay rates are competitive and above the national minimum wage.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Wages will be discussed during the interview, based on experience and skill level.\\n\\nCandidate Requirements:\\n\\n * \\n\\n Previous experience in steel erection, basic groundworks, or working at heights is desirable but not essential.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Experience handling steel and sheet materials and installing rainwater goods is advantageous.\\n\\n * \\n\\n A positive attitude and willingness to learn on the job is essential.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Must be reliable, physically fit, and comfortable working outdoors in a construction environment.\\n\\n * \\n\\n A valid CSCS card or similar site safety certification would be beneficial.\\n\\nThis role offers the chance to develop practical skills in a specialist field and work on a wide range of projects across the region.
