Are you an experienced Product Designer in the toy industry? Have you worked with licensed products? Do you want to work for a growing UK toy company? Macgregor Black are partnering with a Growing UK Toy Company on the search for a Product Designer. This is a permanent remote role based in Oxford.

As the Product Designer, you will support the development of licensed and proprietary products within various categories, including toys, games, novelty gifting, and role play. You will take ownership of product design and development from concept to production, collaborating with stakeholders, licensors, and overseas teams to create top-tier products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the design across key product portfolios, ensuring high-quality, industry-leading products.
  • Lead the creation of well-conceived, well-executed products.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Design, Head of Operations, licensors, and overseas teams to meet product deadlines and approvals.
  • Create and manage project documentation, briefing packs, and development files.
  • Take full ownership of the design cycle for all assigned products/brands.
  • Develop brand presentations.
  • Partner with the Design Project Manager to ensure all licensor approval stages are met.
  • Adhere to brand guidelines in all product designs.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and generate innovative product ideas.
  • Work closely with the Head of Operations to meet key milestones in the critical path.
What We're Looking For:
  • A degree in Product Design or a related field, with relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of product design experience, ideally within the toys and games industry.
  • Proven ability to manage the product design process from concept to final product.
  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Highly creative, with the ability to communicate ideas quickly and effectively.
  • Experience working with licensors and managing submission and approval processes.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Skilled at working and communicating with both internal and external teams.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
