Job Title: Checkpoint Firewall Engineer\\nLocation: Manchester, Halifax or Banbury, 2 days onsite per week.\\nRemuneration: Up to £700 per day\\nContract Details: Fixed Term Contract, 6 months, Full Time\\n\\nResponsibilities:\\nJoin our client, a leader in the Financial sector, as a Checkpoint Firewall Engineer. In this critical role, you will:\\n\\nanalyse the existing firewall estate to assess performance and security gaps.\\nCollaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and align solutions.\\nDesign and implement migration strategies for firewall technologies, ensuring minimal disruption.\\nEngage closely with Network Management partners to facilitate smooth delivery of firewall solutions.\\nutilise your expertise in Check Point R81/R82 and Cisco ASA for command-line configurations.\\nProvide technical guidance on best practises for network security and maintenance. \\n\\nEssential Skills:\\n\\nProven experience in Networking, including configuration and maintenance.\\nStrong command of Network Analysis and Security protocols.\\nCommand line proficiency in Cisco ASA configuration.\\nExtensive experience with Check Point R81 and a preference for R82.\\nFamiliarity with Fortinet products is advantageous.\\nPrevious experience in the UK Financial sector is a plus.
