NTT Global Data Centers is excited to announce an opportunity for the position of Senior Director, Global Power . In this pivotal role, you will shape our power strategy and oversee global power initiatives across our data centers. We are seeking a creative problem solver with excellent communication skills and sound judgment, who can effectively manage a diverse team and has a deep understanding of global data center power trends. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in the power and utilities sector. This is a permanent hybrid role based in the United Kingdom. What you will do Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive power roadmap that aligns with the company\’s long-term goals and objectives Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of high-performing utility program managers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement Project Oversight: Oversee the execution of power projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, construction, and operations teams, to ensure seamless project delivery Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with power projects, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in the power and utilities sector, driving innovation and continuous improvement within the team Process Development: Develop, refine, and implement processes and strategies for new power and energy practices Utility Agreements: Lead the process to obtain and secure utility power connection agreements Project Support: Provide support to delivery teams across the company\’s portfolio of projects to analyze design impacts and alternatives on costs and drive timely realization Construction Interface: Ensure that the team executes the successful handover of all documentation to the construction team and provides support and introductions to utility contacts to foster a collaborative environment in GID What we are looking for Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices Excellent leadership, team management, communication, and interpersonal skills Understanding of engineering principles and best practices In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards Understanding of substation design, power routing studies, permitting processes, and strategic sourcing of electrical power Knowledge of load forecasting, cost optimization, and GIS planning for power availability Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience managing Data Center projects Extensive experience in the power and utilities sector, focusing on data centers, preferably in a leadership role Experience in contract negotiations for power purchase agreements and risk management Strong working acumen with CSA and MEP systems development; Architectural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering education or experience is a plus What we offer you An agile company culture with short decision-making paths and plenty of opportunities to show personal initiative Flexible working time models and mobile working (depending on your role) Allowance for the use of public transport and job bikes Allowance for the use of health and wellness Individual training and development opportunities Numerous other additional benefits such as birthday vouchers, employee advisory program, employee referral scheme, lunch allowance, company events, etc. Note: Please submit your application in English.
