Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting Production Operatives on behalf of our client, a well-established company in the industrial laundry sector. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced production environment with full training provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unloading and pre-sorting linen, towels, and other products from vans and lorries arriving at the loading bay
- Sorting soiled laundry items ready for the wash process
- Loading and unloading Continuous Batch Washers (CBW) or commercial washers correctly, as trained
- Loading and unloading wet and dry laundry items into and from dryers
- Moving laundry across the factory floor to the next processing station as required
- Performing quality checks during pressing and folding to ensure all items meet required standards
- Placing sub-standard items in the designated re-wash area while maintaining productivity
- Packing clean, finished items ready for client delivery
- Loading vans with packed linen and other items as needed
- Assisting with general production duties including cleaning, waste removal, and other on-site tasks
- Following Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) for all equipment and processes, as trained
- Maintaining good housekeeping standards to minimise risks of slips, trips, and fire hazards
Candidate Requirements:
- No previous experience required - full training provided
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and working on your feet for extended periods
- Good attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions
- Ability to work in a busy, team-based environment
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including potential day and night shifts
