Are you a driven, committed and ambitious Sales professional with a strong customer-first approach? Then join us at VELUX Commercial as Area Sales Manager. This role covers all of Scotland, therefore candidates will ideally be located in the central belt, with good access to major road networks.
VELUX Commercial (VC) is a division established in 2019, comprising the former JET, Vitral, VELUX Modular Skylights, and COXDOME organizations. It operates across 13 countries with over 1100 employees, supporting building professionals from specification to delivery and maintenance of daylight and ventilation solutions for various buildings. We are a fast-growing division with an entrepreneurial spirit and a short route from idea to execution. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact and grow professionally.
Your challenges
In this role, you will join our VELUX Commercial GB&I Field Sales team, dedicated to customer needs. Our team values a growth mindset, informal tone, and open-door culture, fostering help, feedback, and fun. As Area Sales Manager, you will manage influencers and key decision makers in your geographic area on projects from conception to installation.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Maximize sales through customer and area management
- Develop VC specified projects or conversions to secure and grow business
- Create demand and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
- Maintain CRM records for contacts and projects
- Develop effective closing techniques, especially with Main Contractors and Installers
- Raise VC product awareness throughout project lifecycle
- Foster relationships with contractors and installers
- Build relationships with trade, industry, and regulatory bodies
- Influence decision makers to incorporate VC products into designs
- Conduct site visits and surveys (including working at height)
- Maintain relevance of VC in the commercial market
- Establish VC products as a market leader
- Work independently and with colleagues to achieve objectives
- Manage sales leads from design to installation
- Perform other related tasks
