Escape Recruitment Services are recruiting for our client, a growing company based in the Kilmarnock area. We are looking to hire an experienced Credit Controller on a permanent basis.

Based in a small, busy and supportive team environment, you will support in a varied accounts role, therefore we are keen to hire someone into the team that has a positive, proactive and flexible mindset.

What you'll be doing:

  • Establishing credit limits and evaluating the creditworthiness of customers.
  • Managing credit and receivable accounts to contribute to the organisation's overall financial stability.
  • Monitoring credit exposure and minimising bad debt risks.
  • Assisting in collecting unpaid invoices applying strategies to encourage timely payments.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with customers, while effectively mitigating credit risks and ensuring timely collections.
  • Coordinating with other departments such as sales, customer service and finance to handle all credit-related matters appropriately.
  • Provide support to the wider finance team with accounts payable as required.
  • Account reconciliation.
  • Provide month end assistance.
  • Produce financial reports.

Ideal candidate:

  • Previous experience of working in an Accounts Assistant role, including credit control/accounts receivable/sales ledger tasks.
  • Confident working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident IT skills, including MS Excel and financial software.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
