About the Role:
Due to ongoing growth, Gillrick Metalwork (Part of AGZ Group) are currently looking to recruit Fabricators to work within our subcontract engineering organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful applicants to join our well-established engineering company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabrication of Light to Medium Gauge Materials: Fabricate components using mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium, typically up to 10mm thickness.
- Reading and Interpreting Drawings: Work from technical drawings, blueprints, and verbal instructions to produce accurate fabrications.
- Cutting, Bending & Forming: Use hand tools, guillotines, press brakes, and rollers to cut and shape materials to required specifications.
- Welding & Assembly: Carry out MIG/TIG welding and mechanical assembly of fabricated parts, ensuring proper fit and finish.
- Finishing Work: Perform grinding, deburring, and polishing to ensure high-quality surface finishes.
- Quality Control: Inspect work for dimensional accuracy, weld integrity, and overall quality in line with company standards.
- Tool & Equipment Maintenance: Maintain fabrication tools and machinery, reporting any faults or issues promptly.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other fabricators, welders, and engineers to meet production targets and deadlines.
What Weβre Looking For:
- Have a broad knowledge within a subcontract engineering environment.
- Able to work well in a team environment with excellent communication skills.
- Good problem-solving skills are essential.
- Operate at all times within current Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality regulations (ISO 45001/14001/9001).
- Possess a full UK driving licence.
