When it comes to performance, skills and experience don’t tell the whole story. They only tell us what to do in known, predictable, and contextual situations. We look for attributes as they tell us how you behave in all situations, particularly unknown, challenging, or stressful ones when you can’t apply your learnt skills. We have big ambitions and we need people who work here to have big ambitions too. To achieve our growth plans we need talented and driven people who are curious and comfortable with uncertainty and step outside their comfort zone to learn and try new things. If you're the kind of person who rolls up your sleeves and gets stuck in, we want to hear from you!
As the People Team Administrator with MSC, you will be an integral part of not just the People Team, but the whole business. Our People are our strength and our difference; so, creating and maintaining an Associate experience, and an environment where our teams can produce their best work, is fundamental to our success.
What’s in it for me? With MSC you’ll have the autonomy to shape your role and develop your career with us. We believe in continuous growth, which is why you will have constant access to coaching, mentoring and an environment where personal and professional development and success are celebrated. Love discounts? You'll love it even more with our discounts and rewards site, which covers all the most popular brands. Whether it’s a breakaway, cashback on essentials or shopping for a special occasion, we’ve got you covered. On top of this, we give you 25 days of holiday entitlement + Bank Holidays. Private Medical Insurance to support you with whatever life throws at you, a discounted health cash plan, and a company pension scheme matched up to 10% of your annual salary. Life insurance at 6x annual salary is also standard.
What will I be doing? Our people are our most important entity. Working in the People Team you will, as a priority, provide an administration function that will cover a myriad of tasks and subjects, all aligned to providing an exceptional service to both our internal and external customers. The People Team is a small team, and collaboration and support is imperative to deliver a seamless service, that is why you will also learn how to process, problem solve and deliver our payroll; being highly proficient in Microsoft Excel will be a distinct advantage. Having ownership of a few key areas will also give you the chance to learn, grow and have a direct impact on our business.
The first area will be supporting our Company fleet users, by ensuring that the systems and processes work effectively, and our drivers get all the help and support they need, from choosing their new vehicle, through their services and breakdowns to managing any accidents with our third-party providers. In addition, our Engagement Portal is the hub of our business providing our Associates with information, educational support, and the wellbeing services they need. You will have the opportunity to grow this communication platform to be market-leading for our teams, so being comfortable with IT is essential; along with your flair and imagination, as well as investigatory skills, ensuring we deliver what our teams need to thrive personally and professionally.
MSC’s culture is particularly special and as an ambassador you will naturally role model our Values, build trusting relationships and work collaboratively with team colleagues, with a shared purpose, to jointly focus on creating a world-class working environment which brings out the best in everyone, and delivers exceptional business results.
What do I need? We trust that our people will be able to teach you the role-specific skills, but for you to truly succeed at MSC you will embody our values and these significantly important attributes; ones that MSC believes embody talent within our business.
