The Regional Electrician will have a can-do attitude and flexible approach and will cover four different contracts in Woking, Horsham, Fareham, and Isle of Wight. This is a mobile role, and the position comes with a company van and kit, so you'll be able to carry out a variety of work across the maintenance division. Sites include Universities, Social Housing, Council buildings, Office buildings and Leisure Accommodation.

The nature of work will cover:

  • Electrical test and inspection
  • Reactive repairs and fault finding
  • PPMs
  • Full electrical rewiring
  • Electrical installation to kitchens and bathrooms
  • Electrical installation of commercial heating system

Responsibilities:

  • All electrical work is to comply with the latest IEE Wiring Regulations.
  • Diagnose and rectify faults within core field of expertise.
  • Support all trades to deliver a professional and safe maintenance and repairs service.
  • Respond swiftly to all emergency situations and resolve them efficiently.
  • Undertake all work efficiently and cost effectively, minimising non-productive time wherever possible and reporting any difficulties encountered to the Service Manager and/or Supervisor.
  • Apply Company Health & Safety rules in all you do, using risk assessments, method statements and PPE when needed.
  • Maintain tools, plant and equipment in a safe, clean and workable condition.
  • Always maintain your company vehicle in a clean and tidy condition and report any defects to the Contract Manager/Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Be an inclusive part of the team and be part of an on-call rota, with occasional out of hours support.

Required Skills:

  • Have the prerequisite technical, statutory, and legislative knowledge for the trades you perform for the company ensuring you keep abreast of updates and changes.
  • Have knowledge of the materials and methods used in the building and maintenance industry.
  • NVQ level 3 in electrical installation or equivalent (Essential)
  • C&G 2391 or equivalent in Inspecting and Testing (Essential)
  • 18th edition (Essential)
  • CSCS card, and AM2 qualifications would be advantageous
  • Full current driving license
  • Over 3 years trade experience in the building maintenance industry
