This is an exciting time to join Waverley Borough Council as we support transformational change working in collaboration with Guildford Borough Council.
Are you looking for the opportunity to take on a new challenge? Do you want to be involved in developing a new team dedicated to corporate health and safety? Are you an experienced health and safety manager with a proven track record of delivering improvements?
As a qualified health and safety specialist with strong people skills, you will take a lead role in implementing, developing and monitoring health and safety issues across both Guildford and Waverley Borough Councils. You will develop a positive health and safety culture and ensure both organisations meet statutory and legislative requirements.
In this role you will act as lead advisor at all organisational levels to ensure that the health, safety and welfare of our employees, contractors, visitors and service users is protected. This is a new role, which provides the perfect opportunity to work with our existing managers to build a golden thread of good health and safety practice throughout our organisation.
This post is a full-time role for 37 hours a week, split between offices in Guildford and Godalming.
