MSC is seeking to employ experienced and committed Support Workers (SW) to work in our Multicultural Disability Services Program (MDSP): What you’ll be doing: Providing in-home support including preparation of meals, cleaning, personal care, and more; Assisting with participating in community activities/events of their interests; Ensuring that the consumer’s dreams, goals, and abilities are promoted, developed, and achieved; Providing safe transport support to enable service users to access community and social activities; Facilitating the development and maintenance of relationships with family, friends, and service providers; Providing mentoring support. We are looking for people that: Can build a positive supportive relationship with the consumer; Are committed to a person-centred approach in their work; Are passionate about supporting people; Can speak multiple languages with a current need for Bosnian/Serbian, Karen/Burmese, Vietnamese, and Auslan. Things that matter to us: Certificate in individualised support (highly desirable); Previous experience working in the disability sector (highly desirable); Ability to engage and work from a respective framework for people/families supported; An understanding and/or experience of the needs of people from CaLD backgrounds; Valid WA driver’s license and a reliable private vehicle; Hold COVID-19 vaccination certificate; Hold or be prepared to obtain an NDIS check; Ability to work independently and show initiative. #J-18808-Ljbffr
