A Service Engineer is required for a hugely successful OEM of ancillary equipment to the machine tool industry here in the UK. With a full team of support from both technical helpdesk and in the field, customer satisfaction is paramount.

As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Travelling to customers to carry out installation, repairs and servicing of the full product range
- Full servicing of products which includes strip down and cleaning, testing, calibrating
- Carrying out minor and major repairs, replacing worn parts as necessary
- Providing on site customer support, demonstrations and product training
- Ordering of spares and replacement parts from the office as needed
- Overnight stays in hotels occasionally, with overnight allowances all paid for
- Ensuring all tools, equipment, devices and company property are maintained and looked after
To be successful as a Service Engineer, you will:
- Offer previous experience as a field service engineer or technician, repairing industrial machine tools
- Possess both electrical and mechanical fault finding skills, including PLC interrogation
- Be able to use field equipment such as multimeters, testing devices, oscilloscopes etc
- Ideally be based in the Midlands as the client has a large client base in the Midlands, as well as overnight stays in hotels when required
- Have a clean UK Drivers License
