We are looking for a Deteriorating Patient and Sepsis Nurse to work alongside the Practice Development Nurses, Clinical Education Leads and the Resuscitation Services to continue our journey to excellence for patients within our services. You will lead on the quality improvement initiatives related to Deteriorating Patient and the associated audits, preparing and presenting data to inform next steps.
You need to be an excellent communicator with good organisational skills and able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment. You will require excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate the information in an accessible manner.
Main duties of the job:- Identification of the deteriorating patient is a key priority of the Trust and includes the identification and treatment of Sepsis.
- The post holder will also support staff in the care delivery for patients in ED and Assessment wards whose condition is deteriorating.
Experience/Knowledge:
- Experience in an acute care environment as a Registered Nurse/Band 6 role.
- Previous experience in outreach/deteriorating patient/intensive care nursing.
Education/Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse.
- Post graduate qualification in a specialist nursing pathway.
